What does a coordinator actually do in a session?
The coordinator manages the agenda, keeps time, and writes down what is said — nothing more. They do not offer opinions, suggest solutions, or comment on what participants share. At the end of the session they prepare a minute in neutral language and send it to everyone who attended.
Is this the same as mediation or family counselling?
No. Millowvale does not provide mediation, counselling, therapy, or legal services. We facilitate structured conversation and maintain clerical records. If your situation requires a licensed mediator, counsellor, or solicitor, our session ends with a directory pointing you toward appropriate registered practitioners.
Who keeps the records, and who can access them?
All records belong to the family. They are not filed with any authority, shared with third parties, or stored on public systems. At the close of a programme, the original documents and any assembled register are handed over in full to the family.
Do all family members need to attend every session?
Attendance is agreed by the family before the first session. In general, a session works best when the participants are consistent, but we can accommodate changes in attendance with adequate notice. What matters is that everyone who attends has agreed to the agenda and the ground rules beforehand.
How long does a session take, and where does it happen?
A Listening Session runs for ninety minutes. Programme sessions are typically sixty to ninety minutes each. Sessions are held at our George Town office or at a neutral venue agreed by the family. We can discuss remote options where travel is a constraint.
What does the kept-track sheet look like, and how detailed must it be?
The sheet is a printed template with columns for what was agreed, what changed, and what remains open. Families fill it in at their own pace between sessions — a few lines is enough. It does not need to be comprehensive; it just needs to reflect what has actually happened since the last meeting.
How is the retainer's bound pack organised?
The bound pack contains the indexed register of the family's own documents, the dated timeline assembled from them, and the neutral chronology prepared during the programme. A digital mirror of the same material is placed on the family's chosen storage at handover. The coordinator retains no copy.
What is the payment arrangement, and can it be spread across sessions?
For single sessions, payment is made before the session date. For multi-month programmes and the retainer, payment can be made at the start of each month or in advance — we discuss the arrangement that suits you when you enquire. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit and include the session, minute preparation, and applicable templates.
